Worst meet most improved Team, Bayley aim to make home finals
It’s Semi Finals time on Wednesday in the Pool A where four teams aim to make the finals day at Sir John Bayley on Friday 9th October, and the Bayley will be looking to make their “home” finals and win Pool A for the first time. They take on Meole Brace on Chester Road, a team who made their home finals last season and will be looking to make amends for that loss in the final against St Georges. Newport are the only team left in the Pool A who have won it before back in 2012 and 2013, but they take on the most improved team Ifton in a clash of the two teams at the opposite end of the Most Improved Table at Meole Brace. This should be a close and entertaining clash as Ifton have an excellent record in the Pool Competitions having won Pool B 4 times.

2014 finalists look to meet again against the two USC sides
In the Semi Finals of Pool B the two finalists from last year look to meet again, but the two United Services Clubs stand in their way. In Telford last year’s winners Wrockwardine Wood meet Hadley USC in a repeat of last year’s semi finals where a depleted Wrockites comfortably beat the Huskies at the Bayley. But this takes place further down the Haygate Road at the Bowring so the result could be much different. Last year’s runners up, and 2013 winners, Burway take on Wem USC at Bylet. Wem last made the final when the finals were held at the Bayley before so will be looking to repeat this while Burway will be hoping to maintain their remarkable form in the two seasons they have been in the Pool B, winning and losing in their two finals.
