Strutt clinches 2015 Merit
Stuart Rutter from Wrockwardine Wood clinched the 2015 BBranded sponsored Premier League Individual Merit as he came out on top of 28 entries at Allscott Bowling Club. He started his run in the 1st round by thrashing Burway’s Steve Rogers 4, then beat Hanwood’s county player Wayne Phillips 13. He beat another Burway player Jolyon Partridge 12 in the Quarter Finals, before hitting back from 8-2 down against then Newport youngster Justin Pegram to win 13 in the Semi. In the final he ran out from 9-5 up against St Georges captain and former winner Tony Rhodes to clinch the John Coxill Trophy for the first time.
