Comments:
Bowring had a great season finishing with their highest ever points total of 184 in the league and achieving 8th place, what captain Rich Lawson set out to achieve at the start of the season. They had excellent home form, kicked off by a memorable 10-4 win over champions Newport, only losing two games 8-6 and by a few chalks against St Georges and Meole Brace. They didn’t pick up an away win but scoring at least 3 in every away game meant consistency was the key to their mid table finish, scoring 5 or more in more than half of their away games. It was also a memorable one in Shropshire Competitions too, Rob Roden winning the Senior Merit, Aaron King the Junior Merit and Rich Lawson the handicap. Rich also picked up the Most Consecutive Wins with the first 13 games of the season, however just missed out on the League Averages.
They didn’t win a game in either league competition, losing by 27 to Meole Brace in the Alan Mayhew and by 4 to Wrockwardine Wood in the Pool B.
