Meole Brace play Ifton tomorrow in a top of the table clash. Ifton will have been kicking their heels after last week’s game against St Georges was called off, so will be eager to build on their excellent start. Ifton have won at Meole in the past, including a 9-5 win last season, but with Meole moving to the other green it remains to be seen how Ifton react to it. Meole Brace will need to bounce back from their shock loss against Hanwood in the County Cup last night and build on their own solid start, including a 10-4 win over Sir John Bayley in their first home game.
Players in the Predictions and Fantasy League will need to make their transfers before 7 p.m. tomorrow night.
Due to the Ifton v St Georges game being played on Wednesday 4th May as this was the only date available within the 28 days, some ties in the 2nd round in the Black Tech Ltd Alan Mayhew Trophy may and have to be moved. Bowring v Ifton will be moved and if St Georges beat Hanwood on 27th April, then their 2nd round game against Castlefields will also be moved. If Hanwood beat St Georges then they will play Wednesday 4th May. As Newport v Meole Brace 1st round game will be on Wednesday 4th May then the winner of that will take on Burway on another date. They can take place on Wednesday 1st June, a County Cup date that is now only being used for the Shropshire Cup, if a new date cannot be agreed earlier. Wem USC v Chester Road will be played Wednesday 4th May.
Newport also play Meole Brace next Wednesday in their league game used by Newport as their concession on Friday 1st April.
