Newport will aim to keep their unbeaten home record tonight as they entertain Wem USC. Captain Mark Selley is “looking to maintain our home record and hopefully get a double figure win. We are looking to get as many points as possible from our remaining games.” Newport haven’t lost at home but have been putting in 9-5s and 10-4s rather than the 12-2s and 13-1s that they won the title on. They find themselves in 11th place currently, just one place about their visitors Wem, but know that a good week finishing with Hadley away on Friday will move them up the table and keep their hopes of a top half finish alive. Wem were very unlucky on Friday, losing 6 close games and will be hoping that they can turn those close games around and get a good result at Newport.
