Taylor Support Shropshire Premier Bowls League
The Flowfit Shropshire Premier Bowling League would like to congratulate Wrockwardine Wood’s Stuart Rutter on winning the Dennis Lewis Open at Sir John Bayley after beating Glyn Picknell of St Georges 13 in the final. Organiser Tom Roden describes the final, “Stuart raced 6-0 up and despite Glyn chipping away at him there were 1 or 2 ends of bad luck (Glyn going through some tight gaps), as well as 4/5 ends of Stuart pulling out a great 2nd bowl to beat mostly foot bowls, which stopped any momentum for Glyn and eventually took its toll.” In the Semi Finals Stuart beat Warwick and Worcester’s Ash Bracken 14 while Glyn was beating former Sir John Bayley player Steve Broome 5.
