Judson wins 2016 Lea Hall Open

Castlefields’ Andy Judson won the 2016 Lea Hall Open as he beat Kirk Stevens 16 in the final. He had beaten two other Flowfit Shropshire Premier Bowling League players on the way, both of them from Sir John Bayley, Chris Ward 8 in the 2nd round, and Tom Roden 18 in the Quarter Finals. In the Semis he beat Paul Bailey 10, and defeated Stuart Miller first round. Hadley’s Justin Pegram and Nick Wyer won their first games, Justin against Jamie King of Bowring 14, before they clashed in the 2nd round, which Nick won only to be beaten in the Quarter Finals by Kirk Stevens. Sir John Bayley’s Paul Evans won his first game before losing to John Evans, while his team mate and defending champion Scott Simpson lost 20 first game to Mick Lynch. Liam Stevens from Bowring lost to Chris Ward first game. Rob Steventon of Bylet won his first game before Paul Bailey defeated him.

The league would like to congratulate Andy on his win, and hopefully will get him in the 2017 Champion of Champions like it did for Scott Simpson this season.
