Taylor Support Shropshire Premier Bowls League
Bylet joined the Shropshire Premier Bowling League in 1997 after the withdrawal of Hadley USC the year before. They finished in their best ever finish of 9th in their 1st season, but then fell down the table until they finished bottom in 2001, and became the first team to lose their Premier League spot in a playoff when Ford beat them at Donnington Wood. But they regrouped and won the Mid-Shropshire League in 2003 to re-enter the playoffs but lost to Rhos BC in a pre-playoff on Ford by 9 chalks. They won the Mid-Shropshire League again in 2006 and played White Horse in the final on the Sir John Bayley bottom green. With two 21-4 wins from Scott Harries and Kevin Brazier they became the first team to earn their place in the Shropshire Premier Bowling League after losing it in a playoff by winning the game by 10 shots. However since they’ve got their place back in the league they have finished bottom 4 times, surviving the relegation playoff on 3 of those times. They beat Burway by 15 in 2010, Hanwood by 26 in 2011 and Hanwood again by 14 in 2014. They enjoyed their best finish in 2013 after signing players from Staffordshire club Penn to be the most improved team by finishing in 10th place and 52 points better off than 2012. They have won the Pool B trophy in 2010 when they won on the best winner rule in the final at Prees against Sir John Bayley. They narrowly avoided bottom spot again in 2015 thanks to a 12-2 home win over Hadley USC to overcome a 7 point deficit to finish 13th and avoid the playoff. They finished 13th in 2016 avoiding the playoff once again.
