Taylor Support Shropshire Premier Bowls League
It was the last weekend of ECC Open qualifying action and three Sir John Bayley players all got through on the Saturday. Tom Roden qualified in the morning after beating Ben Gloag 9, Ryan Walters 8 and then edging out David Gwilliam 18 in the qualifier. Staffordshire stars Paul Evans and Scott Simpson qualified that afternoon, with Paul beating Andy Delooze, who has played for Ifton before, 20 and Kevin Shaw 11 while Scott got past Graham Law 12 and Hanwood’s Wayne Phillips 19. Wayne had earlier beaten Cliff Johnson 20 and Paul Lamb 15. On Sunday and we had two near misses. Mark Taylor of Castlefields had a fine win against Tommy Johnstone 18 but lost to Mitchell Harvey 19, whilst Dave Lloyd from Bowring had eased past Russ Easthope 8 but lost to Larry Wells 16.
The finals day features 14 Salop Leisure Shropshire Premier Bowling League bowlers and the draw is below. There will be a preview posted on Thursday Night or Friday of the competition on Saturday starting at 10.30 a.m.
