Trio remain

A trio of our players remain as two fell at the last 32 stage. Two of the favourites for the title, Callum Wraight and Greg Smith, both lost out narrowly 19 and 20 respectively to Dave Baskerville and Andy Thornton, but our other three got through. Castlefields duo Rich Goddard and Mike Beer got past Pete Dunkley 14 and Simon Brown 13 respectively, while Chris Ward of Sir John Bayley beat Glyn Cookson and won 14.

Rich now plays Malcolm Sims, while Mike takes on Wayne Ditchfield in a clash of Junior games of the past, and Chris has Ray Goodhand. You can watch all three on ITV4.
