25 Years: Number 12

Number 12

12 teams started in the league back in 1994. Out of these teams, half of them still remain in the league after 25 seasons. These are Chester Road, Meole Brace, Sir John Bayley, St Georges, Wem USC and Wrockwardine Wood. The league winners that season were Battlefield, who were relegated in 2003, while Hadley USC and Hanwood dropped out due to a lack of players, three and four years after respectively, before coming back into the league, although Hadley have dropped out once again. Craven Arms also dropped out of the league in 2005 because of a lack of players, while Archibald Worthington, a late replacement for Castlefields, left the league after 22 seasons in 2015. Donnington Wood, who kindly donated the league trophy, were the other team in the league, and were eliminated from the league in 2008, and despite a couple of attempts to get back in, are still outside the league.
