Josh follows in father’s footsteps!
Josh Bradburn followed in his father’s Roy footsteps as he won the 2016 Shropshire Premier Bowling League Get Branded Merit on Bayston Hill to earn the John Coxill Trophy. He came through 31 entries, the highest for a long while I believe, and overcame two Bowring team mates on the way. In the final he beat Scott Simpson 17 from Sir John Bayley, recovering from 8-2 and 16-14 deficits. In the semi finals Josh beat team mate Stuart Clee 7 while Scott saw off another Bowring bowler in Jamie King 17. 10 clubs were represented overall, with the majority from Bowring. Thanks go to Bayston Hill for their use of their green and for looking after us all so well, and to John Coxill for running the competition.
