District are the only team to ever use players in a playoff that have played in that season’s Premier League for another club as the rule was changed shortly afterwards. Charlie Weaver, Martin Lloyd and Paul Griffiths all played for Chester Road that season but turned out for District as they played for them on a Tuesday in the Whitchurch League. They were unsuccessful though, even though they beat Dun Cow by 31 with all three players winning, Martin the best 7. But they lost to Ford by 47 at St Georges even though Chris Lloyd won 8. They entered again the following year, but without those three were weakened and lost to the Bowring by 24 in the pre playoff, even though they led by 2 after eight blocks with Brian Jones and Richard Pullen winning 9. They didn’t enter again till 2007, when they played Pontesbury in the pre-playoff but lost by 56 with only two winners, Mike Mullock 10 and Brian Jones 16.

Team 13 I believe lost by the widest margin in playoff history.
