Reason for Invite: 15th in all time averages
Glyn has been a stalwart of Castlefields bowling club for every year of their stay in the league. He recently reached the Semi Finals of the Meole Brace Open and the Shropshire Senior Merit, showing he knows how to do well in these big competitions.

Clubs: Donnington Wood, Bowring
Reason for Invite: 2011 Merit winner
Roy won our Merit on the new green at Donnington Wood as his green knowledge from playing there for 12 seasons paid off. He will look for this again as he targets a second title at his former club.
3. Tony Rhodes
Clubs: St Georges
Reason for Invite: 1996 Merit Winner & 1997 League Averages Winner, Mike Hinton Pairs Winner 2011
Tony is one of our inaugural hall of famers, playing nearly 600 games just for St Georges, winning 401 of them, including the League Averages in 1997 and the Merit in 1996. He won the Mike Hinton Pairs on the old green in 2011, so hoping to win another title on the other green.
- Dickie Jones
Clubs: Chester Road, Ifton
Reason for Invite: Leading player for Ifton
Dickie Jones has been captain of Ifton for a fair few seasons now, being one of the integral players there that has kept the club going. He has plenty of experience from competitions, stemming from winning our County Merit in 1983.
- Phil Emery
Clubs: Bylet, Newport
Reason for Invite: Leading player for Newport
Phil played for one season for the Bylet in 2000, winning 18 of his 25 games for them. He then moved to Newport where he helped them win promotion in 2003, and then has played every season since. He recently got into the county side and hopes that experience will help him.

Clubs: St Georges, Hadley USC, Sir John Bayley
Reason for Invite: 2015 League Average Winner & Most MVPs, League Official 2015-
Rob made his name in the 2015 season as he won the League Averages and most MVPs whilst at Hadley USC, and will look to reclaim that form and make a name on the green rather than just organising off it.
7. Dave Rhodes
Clubs: Donnington Wood, St Georges, Newport
Reason for Invite: 2006 Mike Hinton Pairs Winner
Dave won the 2006 Mike Hinton Pairs with Chris Grocott, and is a former Donnington player, which he hopes will put him in good stead for this competition. Has qualified for the Meole Brace Open this season, showing he is already in good form.

Clubs: Donnington Wood, Bowring
Reason for Invite: 2009 League Averages & Top 16 Winner, 2015 Most Consecutive Wins, 2010 Mike Hinton Pairs Winner
Rich started at Donnington Wood once the league began, playing there for 10 seasons before moving to the Bowring. He won the League Averages in Bowring’s first year in 2009, as well as the top 16 competition. He added the Mike Hinton Pairs in 2010 with Rob Roden, as well as the Most Consecutive Wins in 2015.

Clubs: Castlefields, Meole Brace, Ford, Sir John Bayley
Reason for Invite: Former League Chairman 2002-2014
John was our former chairman for 13 years and since then our SCGBA delegate. He has also helped set up the Salop Leisure sponsorship. He has played for four clubs in our league; a handful of games for Castlefields, Ford and Sir john Bayley, with Meole Brace his main club. He has recovered from an operation last season, and hopes to be back in a bang!

Clubs: Wrockwardine Wood
Reason for Invite: 2003 League Averages
Martin has played nearly 600 games for Wrockwardine Wood, winning 360 of those games He had his best season for them in 2002 when he won the League Averages with 20 wins. He had a very good season last year, winning 18 games, and hopes to continue that form.

Clubs: Hadley USC, St Georges, Wrockwardine Wood, Bowring
Reason for Invite: 1994 League Averages, 1999 Most Consecutive Wins
Alan won the first ever League Averages in 1994 for Hadley USC, before moving to St Georges in 1997, winning the Most Consecutive Wins there in 1999. He hasn’t played so often lately but has played more and more the last few seasons, knee permitting!
12. Pete Roden
Clubs: Donnington Wood, Wrockwwardine Wood, Bowring
Reason for Invite: Former Competitions Secretary 2005-2007
Pete was our first ever Competitions Secretary between 2005-2007, after being a key man in forming the league, earning him life membership. He has played at Donnington Wood, Wrockwardine Wood, and then Bowring, before moving to Trench. He will hope that the green knowledge will help him through.
- Mick Jones
Clubs: St Georges, Newport
Reason for Invite: 2009 Most Consecutive Wins, 2014 Mike Hinton Pairs Winner, Former Chairman 2015-2017, Current President 2019
Mick has won the league 10 times with St Georges and Newport, captaining St Georges to four of their five successes. He won the Most Consecutive Wins award in 2009 before moving to Newport for the 2010 season. He won the Mike Hinton Pairs with Pete Farmer in 2014, and will hope to have one last big day before having a knee operation in April.
- Dale Downes
Clubs: Wrockwardine Wood
Reason for Invite: 2003 Merit Winner, 2005 Mike Hinton Pairs
Dale has only been at Wrockwardine Wood, playing over 500 games for them, winning 314. His finest moment in the league was when he won the League Merit at Hadley USC in 2003, and the Mike Hinton Pairs in 2005 with Rob Jones. He will be as competitive as always today!

Clubs: Bylet
Reason for Invite: Leading player for Bylet
Tim has been an ever present for Bylet in their stay in the league since they entered in 1997. He stayed loyal to them after they were relegated in 2001, helping them earn their place back in the league in 2006. He is a consistent player, and will look for that in this competition.
- Colin Beaman
Clubs: Bettlefield, Meole Brace, Hanwood
Reason for Invite: 2001 & 2013 Most Consecutive Wins
Colin has been inducted into the hall of fame after winning over 400 games in the league for his three clubs. He helped Battlefield win the league in the inaugural season, and won the Most Consecutive Wins there in 2001. In 2003 he moved to Meole Brace, where he won the Most Consecutive Wins again in 2013. He has since moved to Hanwood, and has already qualified back at Meole Brace for their open, so will look to continue that form and win another big competition.
