The first ever Merit took place 25 years ago today on Sunday 17th July 1994 at Tilstock Bowling Club. The winner that day was Pete Farmer, who beat Ian Lealand in the final 21-7, and who has gone on to win a further 5 titles. Will he add title number 7 on Sunday?
