Taylor Support Shropshire Premier Bowls League
The Shropshire Premier League Merit has been played for since 1994, with Pete Farmer having won it 6 times, but not since 2009. He won it three times on the bounce from 2007 to 2009, while James Grimston also won it consecutively at Coddon and Abbey. The only other player to win it twice is Stuart Rutter, in 2015 at Allscott and last season on Donnington Wood. St Georges players have made the most finals, 13 of them, with just 4 winning. Castlefields, given their success in the league over the 25 years, only have three winners, the same number as Bowring, Wrockwardine Wood and Donnington Wood.
The only players who have won it before and could do so again on Sunday are Pete Farmer and Mike Beer.
