Callum Wraight from Castlefields made the quarter finals of the Talbot Trophy but lost out to rival Greg Smith 16. He had beaten Andy Walker 8 and Tommy Johnstone 15 to get that far. Sam Millward of Newport was the only other player to win a game, beating Ivan Smout 19 before losing out to eventual winner Graeme Wilson 11.
