October 2015 Executive Meeting

Saturday 11th October

The October Executive meeting will be held at Meole Brace on Tuesday 21st October (start 7.30 PM). The agenda is given below:-

1. Apologies.
2. Minutes of Meeting March 2014.
3. Matters arising (including agreement for rule change for introduction of on-line results for 2015 using MBBowlingResults)
4. Correspondence (including letter from Hanwood attached)
5. Treasurer’s report
6. Discussion on Match Rule 6 – “INCLEMENT WEATHER AND UNFIT GREEN” If the commencement of a match is delayed because of inclement weather a decision to postpone the match shall not be taken before 7. 45 p.m. unless mutually agreed between both team captains. If the groundsman of the home club decides that the green is unfit for play either before , during or at any stage of the match that decision shall be final and binding on both teams.  Games abandoned under this rule shall be played within 21 days, with interrupted games being re-started at the same stage at which they finished, with the away player allowed to play three (3) ends prior to the recommencement of the match.  Note This has been raised in respect of the failure to play the Chester Road v Ifton match postponed on the 25th April and the penalties imposed on both clubs when the match was not played by the 9th July and the subsequent appeals.
