Taylor Support Shropshire Premier Bowls League
On this day last year Sir John Bayley got a big 7 winners at rivals Castlefields to make themselves favourites for the crown. The lost the aggregate by 18 but it was a big result in the title race. Bottom placed Chester Road got a shock 11-5 win at Meole Brace to give themselves hopes of a revival, but rivals Hanmer scored a big 12-2 win over Highley, as did Ifton with a 11-3 victory against Wem USC. Hanwood kept their good record against the Bylet going as they won there 11-5, while Newport beat St Georges 9-5. Wrockwardine Wood also got a good 11-3 home win over Burway.
