2019 Review:

Burway might look like they finished low but they were only four points off from matching their best finish in the league of 7th. They had a good spell in the middle at home after a 11-5 home loss to eventual champions Sir John Bayley, having four straight double figure scores but then suffered a loss at home to Newport. They didn’t win an away game, their highest score being 7 winners at Highley but losing the aggregate by 4.

2021 Aims:

Burway will be looking to return to the league with a bang, and they have kept the services of county players Kiah Roberts and Wayne Rogers along with the return of Nick Lewis and addition of Ben Austin will provide competition for places. Having been three years now since most teams would have played their green, their home form could improve which is key for their first ever top 6 finish. Conversely, this means they wouldn’t have played some away greens for three years, so this could hinder them improving on their poor away form in 2019 which could make a difference between a top and bottom half finish.
