2019 Review:
Meole Brace were only 3 points off a top half finish in 2019, coming within 3 chalks of achieving this as they lost their last game by just 2 chalks at Hanmer. They had a slow start at home as they only beat Castlefields by 3 chalks, drew with Wrockwardine Wood and then defeated St Georges by 4. A good 10-4 win over eventual Champions Sir John Bayley , followed a few games later with an away 12-4 win at Highley, kickstarted their season. However they had a very poor end to the season, losing 7 straight games until an 11-3 win in their last home game over Highley.
2022 Aims:
They will be looking for a top half finish but know that they can’t afford for the inconsistency they had in the 2019 season. They will need to improve their home form and not lose the 3 home games they did in 2019 (along with a draw). They will also wish to add to their one away win they got in 2019.
