October Meeting Summary

Below is a summary of our October Meeting:

• We are looking at doing an Inter-Area competition involving South Shropshire, North Shropshire, Telford and Shrewsbury as an 8 a side knockout on a Saturday evening.
• A proposal to the AGM about the removal of rule about having a playoff if teams finish level on points at the top or bottom of the league.
• The league are encouraging clubs to put on food after the match, and will ask clubs in March who are putting on food for the 2023 season.
• The Qualifiers and Finals for the Merit will be on a Friday night in September.
• The Mike Hinton Pairs will be on Saturday 15th April at a venue to be confirmed in Telford.
• A rule about players in the Alan Mayhew Trophy Final having to have played four games for their club to be proposed at the AGM.
• The league season will start on Friday 7th April.
• The Pool A&B to be played at the start of the season as an one day format.
• The Presentation Evening format to be changed.
