Afternoon Session:

Qualifier:

James Wilcox trailed 8-3 early on against Pete Grimston but got back to lead 11-10. Pete then went 17-11 ahead before James got back to lead again 18-17, and then finish off the game 19.

Danny Sillitoe went 7-5 and 14-7 up on Akeel Duncan. Akeel kept chipping away to get back to 20 across before Danny held his nerve to win.

Tom Killen was always ahead of Sam Patterson after trailing 3-1 early on. He was 10-6 and 16-10 up and despite Sam getting back to 19-17 down he ran out.

Greg Smith took an early 7-3 lead over Nathan Lacey and extended this lead to win 9.

Round 1:

James Wilcox was only 10-8 up on Pete Varney before virtually running out 9.

Pete Grimston was down early on against Owen Jackson before going 14-11 up. Owen got back to 16 across before Pete ran out.

Akeel Duncan had an early lead over Dave Worthington before extending this to 16-9. Dave got back to 17-16 down but Akeel held his nerve to play a great bowl at 20 across to win.

Danny Sillitoe had a 13-4 deficit at the start but got back to 14-13 down against Chris Ward. Chris then went 20-14 up but Danny didn’t lie down and ran out.

Tom Killen was 12-4 down against Gordon Hawkins but kept chipping away at Gordon and only led when he won 21-20.

Sam Patterson was always up on Gareth Herbert and ran out from 14-11 up.

Greg Smith raced 8-1 up against Steve Pratt and despite Steve getting back to 11-9 down, he won 12.

Evening Session:

Qualifiers:

Keith Wall got ahead early on and then extended his lead in the corners to 16-9 over Dan Edmonds and won 11.

Mike Beer went 11-5 and 15-9 up on Dan Petcher before running out over the middle.

Mark Taylor was 6-1 and 12-5 up against Callum Mitchell and maintained this to win 12.

Gerald Merry went 9-1 up over Nick Wyer and then 15-8 ahead. But Nick got in the corners and went 17-15 ahead himself. Gerald got back in and led 19-18 before Nick went 20-19 up. Gerald then got two singles to get out 20.

1st Round:

Dan Edmonds went into a 12-6 lead over Tony Gatley before Tony got back to lead 13-12. Dan got back ahead and kept this lead to win 16.

Keith Wall had a close game with Matt Hill, leading 6-2 early on and then 14-11, but Matt got back to lead 17-16 and tie the game at 19 across. Keith then scored two to win.

Mike Beer went from 6-2 up to trail 9-6 but after exchanging ends he went from 12-10 down to lead 19-12, and win 15.

Dan Petcher was 10-3 and 13-5 up and despite Tony getting back to 13-9 down, he won 11

Callum Mitchell was 7-2 down against Russell Pugh and then 16-12 down. But Callum went 19-16 up and won 18.

Mark Taylor went 4-0 down before going 7-4 up on Nick Tideswell. He kept this lead restricting Nick to single scoring ends to win 9.

Gerald Merry had a close game with Craig Podmore with nothing more than 3 in it. From 18-15 down he ran out.

Nick Wyer was 14-6 down against Callum Wraight, but then went 17-16 up. It was nip and tuck until 20-19 to Nick before he got the single to get out.
