Qualifiers:
Rich Goddard trailed Mel Higham 5-3 early on but then went 10-6 up and from 10-8 virtually ran out to win 9.
Geraint Booth was always in control versus Martin Lloyd after going 5-0 up and then from 12-7 up won 8.
Kiah Roberts raced 10-1 up against Keith Pessall on his favoured corner mark, but from 15-2 Keith staged a comeback to trail 15-9 before Kiah got the block again and won 10.
Dave Jackson was 9-2 up over Dan Edmonds before Dan got back to trail 13-9. But Dave won 11.
Round 2:
Rich Goddard had an even start with Ian Pessall to be 7 across, before Rich went 14-7 ahead. At 18-10 up Ian did get back to 19-17 down before Rich finished it off.
Mel Higham was 4-1 down before going 10-4 up on John Gatley. He was 15-8 up before John got back to 15-13, but Mel won 14.
Martin Lloyd was only 7 across with Paul Beer before going 14-7 and 19-11 up before winning 15.
Geraint Booth went 8-2 up over Mark Taylor but Mark got back to 10 across. Geraint then went 19-11 up but Mark fought back to 20-18 down and lay one in the corners but Geraint got in to win.
Kiah Roberts was in dominant form in the corners beating Wayne Greenwood 2.
Keith Pessall, in his farewell tour, went 10-4 down against Nick Tideswell but got back to lead 13-11. He then went down 15-14 but ran out.
Dave Jackson was 7-0 up before Anthony Gray got back to 9-7 down. However Dave had five 2s on the bounce to help him win 9.
Dan Edmonds went from 6-5 up to 14-5 against Sam Cartwright. Sam got three 2s but Dan got back in and won 12.
Round 1:
Ian Pessall had a very close game with Callum Mitchell which he edged 17.
Rich Goddard also had a very close game with John Short until at 17 across he ran out.
Mel Higham raced 10-2 up on Craig Podmore who got back to 10-8 down. But Mel then went 18-8 up and won 12.
John Gatley went 10-6 up on Dan Jones, and maintained this advantage to win 15.
Martin Lloyd was 12-1 up over Matt Hill, but despite Matt getting back to 15-10, Martin won 13.
Paul Beer was always ahead after losing the first end against John Cooper. John did get back to 15-14 down but Paul ran out.
Mark Taylor was 10-0 down against Roy Woolley but got back to 14-13 down. Roy then went 20-17 up but Mark ran out.
Geraint Booth played Neil Kershaw and after a close start went 18-11 down, but Geraint managed to come back to win 20.
Wayne Greenwood raced 15-4 up versus Dave Peach and won 10.
Kiah Roberts used the corners to run out from 10-5 up against Tony Gatley.
Sam Cartwright and Chris Cooper had a very long close game with neither getting more than three ahead at any one time as Sam won 18.
Dan Edmonds went 9-5 up versus Tracy Wraight and from 13-11 up ran out.
