NJ Installations Hadley Open Week 2 Fields & Preview

The second weekend of the NJ Installations Hadley Open comes up this weekend with another 64 hopefuls looking to qualify. On the Saturday afternoon session multiple Shropshire Merit Winner and former home player Pete Farmer takes part, along with another couple of homesters in Rich Dandy and Paul Hemming. Alison Cotton will be the first women to take part in the competition along with clubmate Sonya Lucas. Merseyside county players Dave McDermott and Jamie Fitzpatrick travel down, and competition winner Nathan Dawes takes part too. Into the evening and there is plenty of youth on show. Jamie King grew up on the green, and Matt Rhodes has also played there. Ash Wellings, Tom Roden, Dan Williams and Martin Gaut all have plenty of competition experience despite their young age, with the young Staffordshire quartet of Reece Farr, Jacob Ash, Bruno Heath and Kris Johnson all looking to make their mark. Cheshire star Matt Gilmore will be one of the favourites to qualify given his competition pedigree.

The Sunday afternoon has former Chester Road player Ian Booth returning to Shropshire, along with Sir John Bayley’s Steve Burroughs, who played at Hadley for one season. Shropshire County players Spencer Clarke and Scott Harries take part, along with North Midlands’ Darren Plenderleith, Staffordshire’s Glynn Storer and Ryan Prosser of Warwick and Worcester. The evening has former home players Simon Homer and Jamie Wyer in the line-up, as well as Sam MIllward. Staffordshire’s Scott Simpson and Aaron Tapper are there along with current and former Bayley team mate Paul Evans, who has his son Owen Evans in the side. Elliot McGuinness has won big competitions in the past, as well as Paul Williams. St Georges pair Josh Bradburn and Tony Rhodes also take part.
