The Quarter Finals of the Barlows Fire & Security Alan Mayhew Trophy takes place tonight with the two record winners and the last two league champions still in the hunt. Record winners and holders Castlefields take on League newcomers Adderley, who edged past Chester Road last round while Castlefields hammered Highley. St Georges have won this competition six times, but not since 2012, and play Ifton who are top of the league and in form, having won this competition in 2009. Reigning League Champions Wrockwardine Wood play Hanmer, who are looking to reach the Semi Finals for the first time. The Wrockites have never won this competition since it started in 1996, so will be looking to put that right. Last year’s runners-up and 2021 League winners Sir John Bayley take on Wem USC who had a scare first round against Mid Shropshire League Champions Horsehay.
