Bylet take on the Burway tonight in a rearranged game from the 14th April. Bylet have only completed one game, their first at Adderley when they got 4 winners, and after already getting 4 winners at Chester Road last Friday, they have started the season solidly. Ahead of the original game, spokeswoman Cheryl Caswell said “we look forward to our first home game of the season and despite the recent bad weather, we hope to add to the four points we picked up at Adderley with a good home win to kickstart our season. However, we don’t underestimate a good Burway team, who like us, have a couple of fresh faces who I’m sure will add strength throughout the season.”
Burway have had a tough start, losing both games at home so far, although with 6 and 7 winners in either. They did win at Bylet last season, but know it will be much harder this time to repeat that feat given the Bylet have strengthened well over the Winter. Captain Jesse James says “Bylet has been a happy hunting ground for us in recent years and really needs to be again this season. I’m hoping that our first away game of season will reduce the pressure of playing at home and we can pick up some away points.”
The other two postponed games from the 14th April now have dates. St Georges play Wrockwardine Wood on the 9th May, and Highley take on Chester Road on the 10th May.
