Top two at home, Bottom two away, Champs face Hanmer test
The top two are at home in week 19 of the Taylor Support Shropshire Premier Bowling League. Leaders Sir John Bayley entertain Burway, who come off a fine win over Hanwood last week. Second placed Castlefields take on second bottom Adderley, who also come off a good win last week versus Ifton. Both home teams know a few points could be gained with a good home win. Bottom side Wem USC will look to gain on Adderley but face their own tough trip to an in form St Georges side, who still could break into the top 3 with a good end to the season. Wrockwardine Wood are in 3rd and face a tough trip to Hanmer, who are still in the top 6. Hanmer captain Ieuan Pugh says “we know it’s going to be a tough game against a good side. They beat us last year at home so our aim is to get a home win. Opening night at the Hanmer Arms so a good night is in order!” Highley come off their first home defeat against the Champions, but bounced back with a win at Wem USC last week. They host Ifton this week, who dropped down from 4th place after losing at Adderley last week. Hanwood have dropped off from St Georges and Ifton with a couple of home defeats but will look for a good home win over Chester Road, who will look for a reaction from their home loss last week against Castlefields. Bylet lost their first game in five last week, and will look to make it 5 out of 6 with a win over Meole Brace, who come off a home loss against St Georges.
