Elliot McGuinness won the 2023 Wrockwardine Wood Open after he went one better than in 2016 when he lost in the final to Matt Fellows. He beat fellow Warwick and Worcester player Gareth Herbert 14 in the final, after squeezing past Clay Flattley in the Semi Finals 19. Gareth had defeated Reece Farr 11 in his Semi Final. In the Quarter Finals, Clay got past Dan Petcher 19, Elliot beat Phil King 8, Reece Farr overcame Highley team mate Jack Hill 20 and Gareth Herbert defeated Darren Plenderleith 14.
