October Meeting Summary

Below is a summary from Tuesday’s October meeting:

  • A discussion was taken on whether “B” teams can enter. However since the meeting, Management rule 2 states “The league shall consist of 14 clubs.” which means no “B” teams can be in the league, and also means we should affectively seek a replacement for Chester Road.
  • Rule changes to include an application date for potential play off teams and 10 minute practice for players who have had to come off the green because their game has been abandoned.
  • Dates were set for the Mike Hinton Pairs & Merit with possible venues, further details to be posted in due course once venues have been contacted. But both have similar dates to this year.
  • The Inter Area Competition to take place on Saturday 7th September with the same format as this year. The venue to be voted on at the AGM, with a rota in place after.
  • The Alan Mayhew Trophy will have no teams invited for 2024. The dates again are similar and will be posted on here soon. The final can be played at a non Premier League venue if there is no suitable Premier League venue.
  • Details for the Pool A&B to be posted once confirmed with the host club.
  • A 30th Anniversary celebration to be held late March, details to be posted once spoken to the potential host club.
  • League fixtures to start on Friday 5th April and finish on Friday 20th September. Provisional Wednesday dates of 10th July and 11th September.
