Afternoon Session
Qualifiers
Michael Cooper was 10-2 and 13-4 up on Shaun Swinton before going 19-8 ahead. However Shaun got him on a short round peg and got back to 19-16 down before Michael got out.
Steve Burroughs had a close game with Nathan Lacey but went 19-15 up from 14-11 down. Nathan got back to 20-19 down but Steve got out.
Callum Wraight was 5-4 down on Steve Hamman before running out.
Ayden Smith was 8-6 down on Dan Taylor before going 13-8 up. He kept his lead despite Dan closing to 20-19 down to win 19.
1st Round
Michael Cooper was 9-5 down to John Rawlinson but from 14-12 down he ran out.
Shaun Swinton raced 7-1 up on Stuart Sutton and from 7-3 up only conceded two more.
Steve Burroughs had a close game with Martin Davies with Martin leading 13-10 and 17-14 before Steve went 19-17 up and won 18.
Nathan Lacey and Gary Beff also had a close game after Gary led 10-5. It was Nathan who ran out from 18-17 down.
Callum Wraight went 8-1 up on Gary Whitehall before Gary closed the gap to trail 11-7. But Callum then kicked on again to lead 17-9 and won 11.
Steve Hamman went 10-6 up on Cedric Bancroft before Cedric got back to 10 across, but Steve ran out.
Dan Taylor was always ahead of Mark Holden, leading 11-7 before extending that lead to win 13.
Ayden Smith went 8-2 and 14-5 up on Nathan Brown, and kept that lead to win 12.
Morning Session
Qualifiers
Rich Goddard was 19-6 up on Kevin Handley, before Kevin got back to trail 20-15 but Rich got out next end.
Tom Palmer was 7-5 down on Pete Grimston but then 10-7 ahead in singles. It was level until some 2s helped Tom lead 16-12 and then won 14.
Andy Judson was 8-3 up on Owen Evans before Owen pulled back to 8-6, however Andy went up another gear to win 7.
Lee Johnstone trailed Paul Evans 9-1 and 14-6 but then went 19-16 ahead. It was nip and tuck until managed to get out 20.
Round 1
Kevin Handley was 14-6 ahead of Derek Wright but then Derek got back to 18-17 down before Kevin ran out.
Pete Grimston went 6-2 up on Scott Simpson, but Scott then led 17-11. Pete got back to go 18-17 up before Scott scored two, however Pete then got out 19.
Rich Goddard led 8-0 over Darren Fielding and despite Darren getting back to 14-10 down, Rich won 11.
Tom Palmer raced into a 9-2 lead on Ed Proudlove and extended this to 15-3 and won 7.
Andy Judson was 8-3 up on Andy Marshall before he was pegged back to 8 across. Judson then proceeded to run out.
Paul Evans raced 16-5 up on Gus Needham and despite a mini fightback was able to win 13.
