Our top two record breaking clubs take part at today’s BCGBA World Club Championship at Stretton at 11 a.m. Winners Castlefields take on Attleborough Sports first game, while Sir John Bayley have a tough opener against Yorkshire’s Thongsbridge. Fields stand in skipper Jon Palmer says “as always we are looking forward to the challenge of the World Team Championships, a competition that the club has a rich history in. Although being in a tough section of the draw on a notoriously difficult green, we go to Stretton with a strong side and in good form so are hopeful of a good run.”
