Comments: Horsehay came into the league in controversial circumstances but proved their worth to the league, not just because of their amazing Play Off success which we will come to later, but they won 6 games, more than one other team in the league this season. It was just their consistency that meant that they finished bottom, some good home wins were offset by getting 3 or less winners at home four times. Away they did have some good point hauls, 5 at Hanwood, Hanmer and Burway, but they were whitewashed four times, including three away games on the bounce, possibly the most whitewashes one team has had in the league. But all this didn’t matter, as in the Play Off, despite being written off by almost everyone and seen as one of the biggest match ups the Play Offs have seen, they produced one of the best performances the league has ever seen to defeat Woore by 8 and earn another crack at the league next season.

Winter Aims: To keep the players that kept them up, and to strengthen with a few players if they can. The year they’ve had in the league should mean they will improve given extra experience, especially away, but teams that maybe we caught cold on their green will have some green knowledge this time round. They know they will be written off again but this is when they are at their most dangerous!
