Comments: Ifton moved up two places and did stay unbeaten at home for the first time in a long time. They weren’t troubled at home, winning every game by over 30, and only Burway got more than 4 winners there. They picked up 6 away wins, two of them 13-3 at Highley and Horsehay, but excluding 6 winners at Burway, they did only pick up 4 winners or less in their other 6 away games. It is their joint highest finish but their record points total ever in the league.
Winter Aims: Dickie Jones will break the record next season for the longest captaincy in the league, and will do well to take the team to the next level and challenge the top two. They’ve already made one good signing, with potential others in the pipeline, so that could help challenge for the league. Eradicating those bad away results of 2 or 3 winners will also be key, as well as staying unbeaten at home once again.
