Comments: Wrockwardine Wood were just two points off their 2023 points total but dropped down a place into 4th. Just after the halfway stage they were the nearest contenders to the Sir John Bayley in 2nd after only one loss at the Bayley, scoring 11 points in five games in a row, and earning 28 points off two games against Horsehay. But they didn’t win another away game in the second half of the season, 5 winners their best haul, and despite some good home wins, they dropped down two places.
Winter Aims: It’s the end of the most successful era in the club’s history as Rob Jones has stood down as captain, leading that historic 2022 campaign, and following him will be no mean feat for whoever takes over. Improving their away form will be key, and just improving on a couple of disappointing home wins should help them be towards the top two again. They have also made some signings already to add to their squad depth and increase competition again in the team.
