Taylor Support Shropshire Premier Bowls League
The holders Castlefields managed to overcome Wrockwardine Wood in the 2nd round of the Audlem Special Events Team Alan Mayhew Trophy. They only won by 9 overall, winning by 32 at home, best winner Wayne Rogers 8, and lost by 23 away, Andrew Judson their only winner 20. They will play Sir John Bayley in a repeat of the final of the last three years, after they beat St Georges by 57 overall. They won by 63 at home, Michael Cooper leading the 6 winners there 21-1, and lost by 6 away, the returning Pete Grimston best winner 11.
Hanmer defeated Woore by 19 to reach the Semi Finals once again. They won on Woore by 30, Matt Beeston best winner 6, but lost at home by 11, Dan Beeston best winner there 7. They will take on Ifton in the Semi Finals, who beat Burway by 34 overall, winning home and away. At home they won by 21, Joe Langford best winner 8, and by 13 away, Owen Jackson best winner 13.
The Semi Finals will take place on Wednesday 30th April. A reminder players must have played at least one league game in any league for the club before this round.
