Taylor Support Shropshire Premier Bowls League
Sam Millward won his first big open competition in Shropshire after winning the 2025 Dennis Lewis Open. He defeated former home bowler Steve Burroughs 13 in the final, going 17-6 up from 7-6 ahead and not letting Steve back into the game.
In the Semi Finals Sam went 11-3 up on Jamie King and won 9, while Steve Burroughs beat former winner Pete Farmer 18 after going 9-3 up and holding of a fightback after Pete got back to 18 across.

Quarter Finals:
Jamie King from 8-6 down went 17-8 up on Alan Boulton and won 13.
Sam Millward was 5-4 down to Elliot McGuinness but went 16-6 up and won 8.
Pete Farmer was 15-2 up on Clay Flattley and won 12.
Steve Burroughs raced 17-5 ahead of Gary Neal and won 11.
Round 3:
Jamie King was 12-7 down to Kiah Roberts but from 17-14 down won 19.
Alan Boulton was 15-4 up on Jon Ball and held off a fightback to win 16.
Elliot McGuinness was 6-4 and 13-11 down to Tom Killen, but won 18.
Sam Millward was 11-2 up on Glynn Storer but Glynn got back to 11-10 down in ones. Sam kicked on again to lead 20-13 and won 18.
Pete Farmer was 8 across with Paul Reeves but went 17-8 up and won 15.
Clay Flattley was 14-5 ahead of Ronan Allen and won 8.
Steve Burroughs was 9-7 up on Martin Gaut and won 10.
Gary Neal was only 11 across with Kane Beaman but went 19-12 up and won 17.
Round 2:
Paul Reeves was 13-3 up on Darren Plenderleith and won 10.
Pete Farmer was 7-0 up on Chris Kearns and won 6.
Clay Flattley was 12-4 up on Rhys Marshall but Rhys came back to lead 18-16. Clay though won 19.
Ronan Allen was 3-0 down to Shaun Swinton but went 7-3 up and won 12.
Steve Burroughs from 10-6 down went 19-10 up and won 13.
Martin Gaut was 9-7 down to Harr Chapman but went 12-9 up. From 17 across he ran out.
Kane Beaman was only 8-7 ahead of Ron Millar but then won 10.
Gary Neal raced 14-1 up on Rob Roden and won 2.
Kiah Roberts was 12-3 up on Nick Wyer and kept this lead to win 13.
Jamie King from 12-10 up on Andrew Judson won 11.
Alan Boulton was 10-7 down to James Berrisford but went 17-15 ahead and won 19.
Jon Ball was 15-8 ahead of Laura Doherty and ran out.
Elliot McGuinness was 14-4 up on Lee Walmsley and won 15.

Nick Wyer was 12-4 up on Rees Jones but Rees got back to 18-17 down from 18-10, however Nick got out 17.
Kiah Roberts was 12-5 down to Mark Parsons but got back to lead 15-14 and won 20.
Jamie King was 15-3 up on Jon Lea but was pegged back to 19-15, however got the two he needed.
Andrew Judson was 15-5 up on Adrian Owens and won 8.
James Berrisford was 11-7 ahead of Gareth Davies and won 9.
Jon Ball was 14-2 up on Andy Garbett and won 11.
Paul Reeves was 19-13 up on Ash Wellings but went 20-19 down, however got the two he needed.
Pete Farmer was 16-12 up on Nathan Lacey but only got out 20.
Chris Kearns was 16-15 down to Simon Lane but won 17.
Shaun Swinton was 8-3 and 14-10 down to Lee Cavill but then won 15.
Ronan Allen was 7-1 up on Ali Cotton and ran out from 16-12 up.
Clay Flattley was 13-8 up on Alex Hassall but got pegged back to 13 across. He went 19-14 up and won 17.
Rhys Marshall was 7-4 ahead of Dave Evans and ran out.
