Veterans lose out on Handicap

Our Blue side lost out on the handicap in the Veterans Inter League. We lost by 20 to Mid Shropshire A after the handicap of 20 was applied. We had four winners in the final, captain Mark Thomas best of them 14.

The Blue side had beaten the Yellow side in the Semi Finals by 34 with 5 winners, the best of them being Dave Redge 21-9. The Yellow’s winner was Phil Lyttle 19.

The Blue side had a more comfortable passage to the final. They beat NSVCGBA by 10, Martin Williams best winner 10, and then had a full house in their next two games. They defeated Oswestry by 31, best being Martin Williams and Julian Cooke 21-8, and Ludlow A by 23, Dave Redge best winner 8.

The Yellow side had a tougher time getting through, defeating Tanners A by 17, Phil Lyttle best winner 11. They then just beat NSVCGBA A by one chalk, Phil Lyttle best again 21-10.
