On Friday 20th June Bylet played Jason & Matthew Walters, who were unregistered with the league, which breaks rule 4 of Match rules:
“No player shall be eligible to play in any league match or competition organised by the Premier League unless he has been officially registered online.”
This has been discussed with the members of the Management Committee, not involved in this match, about what action to take in breaking rule 4. The majority decision of the Management Committee that, in accordance with Match Rule 4, the following penalty is imposed on Bylet Bowling Club:-
“In the event of a club playing an unregistered player a fine of £25 will be payable to the league by the offending club. In addition the game in which the unregistered player took part shall be awarded to the opposing team 21-0 and two points deducted from the offending club.”
As a result, Bylet will be fined £50 and deducted four points. The result now changes to an 8-6 win for St Georges and this has been reflected in the table. Chris Ward and Jon Lyttle will receive a 21-11 win in their averages.
