Captains Preview & Poll

Tonight sees the Play Off Final take place between Horsehay and Woore in a repeat of last year’s game.

Horsehay vice captain Craig Baugh says “we come into this game knowing it’s a last chance saloon. Woore have again been fantastic winning their respective leagues this season. We know how much quality they possess. We know we have battling qualities throughout our side and combined together hopefully creates another cracking game like last year.”

Woore spokesman Andy Smith says “having narrowly beaten Sinclair in the Shropshire Cup Final we knew it would be a tough match last night and so it proved. With so much at stake there was huge pressure on all 24 players but there’s great respect between the two teams and the match was played with great sportsmanship. For Sinclair Harry Church pushed Andy Moss all the way and Pete Farmer was absolutely immaculate against Chris Grocott. For us, special mention to Laura “Minty” Hallsworth , Steve “Gerrard” Rogers and Carl “Carlos” Hinton who were quite brilliant under enormous pressure. The Playoff against Horsehay is a massive challenge for us after losing to them last year. They were brilliant on and off the green and had massive vocal support and we expect just the same this year. Predictions are meaningless for a one -off match like this but we’ll be trying our very best to achieve Premier League status.”
