Hanwood look to bounce back, Top two at home, Adderley and Hanmer look for home comforts
Hanwood will look to bounce back from a loss at Wrockwardine Wood on Wednesday in week 14 of the Taylor Support Shropshire Premier Bowling League. Captain Jon Mansell says “following a most vexing yet righteous bout on Wednesday, we crave swift vengeance; they fought with valor, and twenty and three souls graced the field, where David Payne didst perform with celestial skill. Friday promiseth much intrigue, for heavens’ fury and thunder may alter the sward’s gait. For the first time this season, our host is whole; thus, we brook no excuses and demand naught less than a triumph of nine to five.” The top two Castlefields and Sir John Bayley are both at home to St Georges and Bylet respectively both looking for good home wins, with the away sides knowing any winner is a good winner against them.
Adderley will be wary hosting a Woore side who will know their green very well and will want to build on a good 4 winners at their green. Ifton travel to Hanmer looking to win there to consolidate 4th place, while Hanmer will be wanting a home win to try and catch the teams above. Burway now start a run of 9 home games in 13 as they look to try and move up the table. They host a Highley side though that are now in 5th after some excellent results recently. Meole Brace are now 7 behind Wem USC and will want to bridge that gap as they host them, with Wem wanting to stay ahead and look to claim a top half finish.
