Big home wins for top four & Burway, St Georges with good win
It was big home wins for the teams in the top four that played in week 21 of the Taylor Support Shropshire Premier Bowling League. League leaders Castlefields beat Highley 11-3 with Adam Jones leading the way winning 0, while Dave East and Jack Tudor were best for the visitors 15. Third placed Wrockwardine Wood defeated Adderley 12-2, Steve Roberts best winner 2. Adders captain Gary Whitehall was best for them 14. Fourth placed Ifton overcame Bylet 11-3, Owen Jackson best winner 5 for them and Camila Parsonage best for the Bridgnorth side 11. Burway also produced a decent home win 11-3 over Wem USC. Their best winner was Kiah Roberts 12, with Ian Metcalfe best for Wem 17 in a match of close games. Hanmer beat Meole Brace 10-4, Matt Beeston best winner 8 and Meole captain Chris Jones best for them 7. St Georges beat Woore 9-5, Lee Bowden and Mike Wainwright best winners 11 for them, and Dan Hazeldine best for Woore 12.
Castlefields are 13 ahead of Sir John Bayley and another 1 ahead of Wrockwardine Wood, the Bayley having played a game less. Bylet are 36 behind Adderley, and another 3 behind St Georges. Scott Harries leads Clay Flattley and Joe Killen at the top of the League Averages, with Joe still having won 12 straight games.
