Meanwhile tomorrow night starts the SPBL season with the 1st round of the Alan Mayhew. 4 games are being played with champions Newport playing against wooden spoonists Bylet. With two Bylet players who play in the Highley League playing for Newport Bylet will have their work cut out. A North Shropshire derby sees Wem USC play Chester Road, whilst perennial playoff challengers Hanwood will fancy their chances against Archibald Worthington who have lost several players this season. Completing the fixtures is Wrockwardine Wood v Burway which promises to be a close encounter.
