Tonight sees two games being played, one in the Alan Mayhew 1st round and one in the Flowfit Shropshire Premier League.
Newport meet Bylet in a game that was scheduled for the first week of the season. Newport got off to a good start at home with an 11-3 win over Burway Friday and will be looking for much the same over a Bylet team who will be looking to build on their good away 5 at Ifton on Friday. Newport need at least 9 to go 2nd in the league and will be aiming to get as close to early season leaders Meole Brace as they possibly can, with a tough trip to Castlefields coming up on Friday. Bylet will be looking to Rob Steventon to win again on his full season in the Flowfit Shropshire Premier League and lead them to a few wins in a tough trip.
In the Alan Mayhew Trophy 1st round St Georges take on Hadley USC. St Georges will be hoping for a repeat performance at Hadley when they won there 9-5 on the opening day of the season but with the dry weather the green will be much different to then. It promises to be an intriguing tie, with Hadley USC looking for their first ever Alan Mayhew win. The winners will take on Champions Newport in the next round.
