October Meeting Review

The October meeting took place tonight where 13 out of the 14 clubs were present. Here are the main points from the meeting:

Proposed rule changes to be put forward to AGM:

• A new Webmaster role to be created for Rob Burroughs to run the website with honorarium
• No concessions allowed at all
• Clubs who use ineligible players will be fined £25 instead of £20
• Players who play ineligible players or receive a walkover will receive a 21-11 win for their averages
• Registration of a player only allowed after 30th June if a player moves into the area from outside
• Only allowed to nominate a green from your own club to play on for the season
• BCGBA Numbers to be removed from the match cards
• A programme to be created for the playoff final, so teams need to be in earlier for it
• Add rule to Championship/Relegation playoff to move it in line with
• Presentation Evening Venues to be only member Premier League clubs
• 2016 Presentation Evening will be held at either Bowring, Bylet, Meole Brace, Newport, Sir John Bayley, St Georges & Wrockwardine Wood
• Clubs to be fined £25 for late invoices.
• Clubs to be fined £25 for pulling out the Alan Mayhew or Pool A&B and results entered online.
• The rules for the Alan Mayhew Final to be made clearer in case of a tie.

Other news:

• The 2016 season will start on Friday 1st April and end on Friday 16th September, with the Wednesday game played on Wednesday 29th June meaning you will play the same team in two games.
• The Merit will be held on Sunday 22nd May.
• The Pairs will be held on Saturday 8th October.
• Mick Jones to be nominated by the league to be Deputy County President for 2017.
• Stuart Clee showed off the logo to the league that he had helped create. He took on board some alterations to it that he will come back with and we will vote on these at the AGM.
• Stuart Clee to help Rob Burroughs to help create Player Profiles for players to fill in.
