Good luck to Meole Brace at BCGBA World Team Championships

The Flowfit Shropshire Premier Bowling League would like to wish Meole Brace all the best in the BCGBA World Team Championships at Fox Lane Leyland tomorrow. They comfortably beat New Brighton Quarry Vikings and Dudley Dell to reach the last eight of the competition, where they reached last season. They open up against Kings Heath Park from Warwick and Worcester, which features new Castlefields signings Jon Palmer and Steve Freer. Captain Mark Thomas is looking “to go at least one better this year but it will be a tough task as we play strong opposition in Kings Heath Park. We are up for the fight and look forward to the challenge. We have more players available which will give us a bit more around the green as well as on it. We have got off to a solid start and we’ll be doing our best to keep it going.” If Meole Brace do get through their 1st game then they will face a team from the Potteries as Florence T&BC take on Birches Head Hotel. In the other half Lower Hopton WMC from Yorkshire will be favourites featuring big names Graeme Wilson and Rob Hitchen.
