Three different leaders on the day but Chadsmoor clinch it!

There were three different leaders of the course of today but it was Chadsmoor who was the last team to finish top and clinch the Dudley Society Bowling League Title for the second year running. ECC started the day as leaders by one point to M&B Cheslyn Hay, but after leading 3-1, they only had one more winner against Penn at home to slip down to 3rd place, one point ahead of Penn in 4th. Dudley Dell had started an hour earlier than everyone else and beat Willenhall Nordley B 14-0, so they led the table by 11 to Chadsmoor, who were away at Woodfield. Chadsmoor led 3-1 and 5-3 and it was down to the last game of the green between Peter Cookson of Chadsmoor and Harry Spruce of Woodfield, with Peter winning 13 and earning the title to Chadsmoor for the second consecutive season by a single point. Chadsmoor have used a number of Newport players this season, with Dave Rhodes, Sam Millward, Kevin Keary and Mick Jones being regulars, as well as Chris Grocott, Mark Selley and Phil Emery helping out, and well done to those players for
