Comments:

St Georges achieved their aim of reaching the top three, and were not far away from 2nd or indeed winning the league, only trailing the Champions by 6 points. It was going well for the Dragons as they found themselves top in July after beating previous leaders Chester Road 11-3 at home. They had won every home game scoring double figures till this point and had won first game at Chester Road 10-4 and had won by the same score at Bylet too. But after getting 2 at Burway next game they lost their momentum, following it up with two 9-5 home wins over Ifton and Hadley USC. Despite scoring 4,5 and 6 from their next three away games, all at tough places, and having their best result beating Bylet 13-1, it was their 8-6 home win over Castlefields which took them out of contention of winning the league, and cost them finishing above the fields too in the end. It was their best finish though since 2010, and shows they are on the up.

In the cups they won their first games but lost their second. They beat Hanwood but lost to Castlefields by 56 in the Black Tech Ltd Alan Mayhew Trophy, but did beat the Fields in the BowlsTrader Pool A by 31 before losing to Meole Brace by 21 in the Semi Finals.
