Team 27: Hadley USC

Hadley USC were one of the founder members of the Shropshire Premier Bowling League, and enjoyed their best season in the inaugural one, finishing 4th with 170 points. They finished 12th the year after with their lowest points total of 142 before regrouping to finish 6th the season after. But then they lost players over the Winter and were unable to field a team in the 1997 season and had to withdraw. They regrouped in the Mid-Shropshire Bowling League though winning the league in 2009 and entering the playoffs. They beat Prees by 9 in the pre-playoffs but then lost to Burway by 30. They entered again in 2012, this time beating Hanwood by 66 at Prees but then lost an epic playoff final to Burway by 6 at Archibald Worthington. But at the January 2013 AGM Ford withdrew from the league and Hadley were invited to take their place which they accepted. In their first season they finished 12th with 148 points, which was then improved upon by 19 points to finish 9th in the league. But they finished back in 12th in 2015 however did have a good run to the Pool B final losing by 3 to Burway. They had a bad 2016 and ended up in 14th place and facing the playoff. They played Hanmer and it went down to the final game, but they lost it 21-13 and lost their place in the league by 8 chalks.

Individually, Alan Jones won the first ever League Averages in 1994 while Pete Farmer won the Individual Merit in its inaugural season. Rob Burroughs won the League Averages in 2015 and the Most MVPs too.

Team History 1994-1996, 2013-

Team 28 had three winners out of the first four in their only playoff match, however only had one more winner after that and lost the game.
