Taylor Support Shropshire Premier Bowls League
It was a super Saturday for Salop Leisure Shropshire Premier Bowling League as we took three of the four qualifying spots already. The eye catching one was Gary Beff of Chester Road, who beat Champion of Champion Gary Ellis second game 17, after defeating Andy Judson of Castlefields 16 and then Lee Cavill 12. Callum Wraight had missed out in the other qualifying game after two comfortable 10 wins against Andy Delooze and Andy Milsom, but struggled against a very good Glyn Storer and lost 15. Into the afternoon on a quickening green and we had two qualifiers, 2015 League Merit Winner Stuart Rutter of Wrockwardine Wood and St Georges’ Glyn Picknell. Stuart beat Ben Harris 11 and then edged out 2015 League Averages Winner Rob Burroughs 20 in the qualifier, while former League Averages Winner Glyn beat former Meole Brace captain Mark Thomas 8, Phil Wain 6 and then Chris Baker 19. Onto the Sunday and we had one more qualifier, Mark Taylor, after losing in the qualifiers in both the Meole Brace and ECC, beat Jordan Patrick 11, Bob Hickman 16 and John Evans 20.
The finals day take place on Sunday 9th April and there will be a full preview beforehand. The full draw is below and we have 11 qualifiers:
